In Pakistan, matriculation refers to the completion of ten (10) years of education in school. The term matriculation is an efficient way of pronunciation to the Matric which is 10 years of Secondary School Certificate (SSC). After passing this class one can then took admitted to an intermediate college. The matric session actually starts with nine (9th) classes. In the last some decades, the education council of Pakistan set the matric as combined 9th and 10th class. But now they have separated both years and now a student has to do 9th and 10th class separately in two years. Well, a Student took the initiative of his education from playgroup or nursery and this journey of school life ends up after student matriculation in Pakistan.
A student who passes the 10th class with any major subject (science, arts, computer science, and general science) can then take admitted to Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC).
