Lahore Women College University(LCWU) sets up CRP Dept.The official news said that LCWU sets up CRP dept.The department of city and Regional Planning (CRP) is established finally after great deal of hard work of Management of LCWU.Mind it that this is an Asia’s First CRP department for female students to normal the gender in development as intended in Global Agenda for the Sustainable Development. LCWU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Sabiha Mansoor also shows positive response upon the establishment of department. She also said that formation of the department of City and Regional Planning directed to provide quality education to urban and regional planning that permitted women through knowledge and skills to contribute fully in the economic development of Pakistan and to enable them to become peaceful, tolerant and responsible citizens of the world.

The new department is also a collective step of International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISoCaRP), the Netherlands, which is a strong promoter of strengthening the technical capacities of women city planners in developing countries to meet challenges faced by the urban masses and designing of socially comprehensive low carbon cities in hyper dynamic perspective.
