Ramadan, the holiest month in Islam, is divided into three parts (Ashras), each lasting 10 days. The second Ashra, known as “Ashra-e-Maghfirat” (the period of forgiveness), is a time when Muslims seek Allah’s mercy and forgiveness for their sins.
In this article, we will share the Dua for the second Ashra, its significance, and how to recite it properly.
What is Ashra-e-Maghfirat?
The second Ashra of Ramadan focuses on seeking forgiveness from Allah (SWT). During these 10 days, Muslims are encouraged to:
? Pray for forgiveness and mercy.
? Perform additional Nafl (voluntary) prayers.
? Increase recitation of the Holy Quran.
? Seek repentance for past sins and promise to avoid them in the future.
The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:
“Whoever fasts during Ramadan out of sincere faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.” (Bukhari, 38)
