At least 45% in Intermediate(HSC) examination. However, where more than 45% marks are required in any department as mentioned in the details of Eligibility for different programs can be seen in admission prospectus- 2013 or at this page. Grace or condonation marks will not considered.

Applicants seeking admission on the basis of Certificate/degree other than those awarded by public sector boards or Universities of Pakistan must submit the equivalent Certificate issued by the Equivalent Committee of the University of Karachi before before three days of announcement of the list. Only those candidates can be considered for admission on Open Merit who have passed the Intermediate (HSC) examination within the last five years.3% seats in each department have been allocated on merit for those candidates who have passed the Intermediate (HSC) examinations more than five years ago.
