It is the first medical and dental college that is established, managed and administrated by a Municipal Corporation. KMDC is affiliated with Abbassi Shaheed Hospital; it is one of the largest public sector hospitals in the country. The main motto of organizing this college was to redefine the standards of medical education by introducing a test based admission. KMDC denounces the quota system and self-financing scheme and offers admission based solely on merit and aptitude. Thus, KMDC was also the first public sector medical institution to initiate an entrance test. Actually, the Entrance test is taken just for knowing that is a candidate is eligible to apply or study here.
