Today medical candidates would check their UHS Expected Merit. The University of Health and Sciences Lahore opened admission for the MBBS and BDS programs in public sector medical and dental colleges of Punjab for the session 2025 and for granting these admissions to the students UHS conducted an entry test and every candidate seeking admission in any Ā Medical and Dental institution of Punjab must have to pass the MDCAT test. UHS MDCAT entry test was conducted in August 2025 at Bahawalpur, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan and DG Khan, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Sialkot, Rawalpindi, and Hassan Abdal. UHS Expected merit list date for MBBS and BDS is 85.5%. Last year the merit was 86.5% and it seems that the merit will decrease. It proves that so many students will be deprived of admission to the Medical andĀ Dental institutions of Punjab. This merit is too high for the students. As last year’s merit was 86 and now it has 50 points decreased.

It would be difficult for the candidates to meet the merit and to get admission in any medical and dental college in Punjab and they all have to get admission to a private college. Current seats available in the medical colleges of Punjab are 3405, from which 3305 are for open merit. There are 216 Total seats in Detail Colleges form which 175 are of open merit. Last year so many candidates failed to get admission, but this year the merit has been increased to 50 pints so it will be hard to get admission. Jhoot hai is year ki statistics dekho Mcat aur fsc ka result overall bilkul acha nai aya 86.5 ko choro 86 bhi possible nai aur yeh mai nai uhs ke officials keh rahe hain.Merit will decrease and expected merit will be 85.2-85.5 is se zyada nai and that is 100% confirm news…

yes plz tell me about this 50:50 qouta is it applicable on the admission of this year or next year, in rules and regulations of admission(prospectus and uhs website)there is nothing about qouta system or something related to it.

its really good BUT did you hear about the news of couta system, in medical colleges 50% girls and 50% boys seats in future.
2013 total 36000 26%=9360
2014 this year 44000 17% =7480

19,063 crossed 60 percent last year and merit was 86…………..this year 19,300 crossed 60 percent……….so merit is expected to be around 86.1 or 86.2 this year
last year the closing merit was 86.18 …
It doesn’t matter how many people have crossed 60%. What’s more important is how many of them have secured above 80% which is a very less percentage this year. So the merit might drop or remain stagnant. But there are less chances of it to increase. At the end of the day though, Allah knows the best.
HOW YOU CAN PREDICT THAT MERIT WILL BE 86.50, WHILE THE ENTRY TEST WAS SO DIFFICULT & OUT OF COURSE. THE UHS IS SAYING ITSELF THAT THE MERIT WILL DECREASE AND WILL BE AROUND 84 – 85 PERCENT. PLEASE COMMENT

This all happened because last year, the et came very easy. They just wanted the merit to drop so made the et difficult this time :/
