One of the oldest female institution of Pakistan, the university has 15,000 students and a teaching faculty of 540 teachers at all. LCWU was established in May 1922 as an intermediate residential college and was housed in a building on Hall Road, Lahore with a strength of 60 students, 25 of whom were boarders and 13 staff members. Eligibility for BS:
Female Candidates having FA/F.Sc or A- Level or Equivalent qualification in relevant subjects with minimum 60% marks and above marks and A-level students with average B Grade only are eligible to apply for BS Program:
- The student must have studied the major subjects at intermediate level (in which she is seeking admission)
- The student who want to study English Literature, Craft and Textile Designing must qualify an aptitude test conducted by LCWU at Jhang
- 2% Seats are reserved on Sports basis for National, Board and Districts level players.
- 2% Seats are reserved for Disabled students
- 29 additional seats are reserved for the students belong to other provinces except Punjab
- 5 seats are reserved for Backward Districts of Punjab such as Rajanpur and D.G Khan
- Candidates must mention reserved sears (disabled or sports) with red ink
Eligibility for MA:
- Female Candidates having minimum 14 years qualification in relevant subjects or equivalent are eligible to apply.
- The candidates must have obtained minimum 50% Marks in Annual examination.
