By the Promulgation of the Central Legislative Act No XVI of 1950, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Karachi was established in the year of 1950. Karachi Board of Intermediate Education was later separated in 1974 due to a large number of students. It gained separate entity under Sindh Boards of Intermediate and Secondary education Amendment act number 20 of 1973. The board conducts Intermediate exams from students of Karachi.
